Department divided into two units
to better serve students . . .
As of fall 2007, CSU's
Department of Language and Literature no longer exists. It's been
divided into the Department of English, led by former Languages and
Literature chair Barbara Hunt, and the
Department of Modern and Classical Languages, led by Jacquelyn Konan.
The new structure allows CSU to better serve students, especially those
in relatively new language degree programs. Most faculty from both
departments will continue to have offices in Woodall Hall on CSU's main
campus.
